The Air Jordan V “Doernbecher” will release on Saturday, September 28th. The sneaker is a tribute to former Doernbecher patient Isaac Arzate, who tragically passed in April of last year. Personal details embedded in the design include Isaac’s baseball jersey number 9 on the left shoe and his basketball number 31 on the right, his dates of birth and passing on the inside of the tongue, as well as words borrowed from a poem he wrote the day before his passing.
